Robert P. Holmes represents policyholders and other insureds in federal and state court cases involving insurance coverage and insurance claims handling. Many of these cases involve bad faith refusal to settle, bad faith claim handling, and unfair trade practices.
Rob is on the Legislative Committee of the Insurance Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association, a frequent lecturer on bad faith claim-handling issues, and co-author with J. David Stradley of the chapter entitled Insurance Bad Faith Considerations for the Lawyer Handling Personal Injury Claims in North Carolina found in Personal Injury Practice in North Carolina, LexisNexis (2d ed. 2013).
Rob, a native of New Bern, North Carolina, graduated from the University of North Carolina with a B.S. in Business Administration in 1981 and a J.D. in 1984.
